FAQs

  • I ask for 25% down to hold the date, and then the remaining balance two weeks before the wedding. I also offer payments plans for those who need them, at no additional cost.

  • In terms of what clients receive, it’s actually very similar to working with a digital photographer. You will receive a gallery of high-res digital scans of the film images, created by the professional film lab I’ve been working with for 10+ years and then lightly retouched by me. All the photos you see on my website are high-res scans of images taken on film. Then, you can order prints through your online gallery once the images are delivered to you.

  • Your fully edited wedding gallery will be delivered within 8 weeks of your wedding date! Due to the nature of film, I can’t offer next-day previews like many digital wedding photographers do. But the wait is worth it—I promise!

  • Unless I am gravely ill, I will usually wear a mask and power through a wedding. In the case that I am bedridden with an illness or have a dire emergency that causes me to be unavailable for a wedding, I have a call list of photography associates who I would trust to capture your wedding with the same care and love that I would (and on all film).

  • No, I ask that you don't edit or add filters to the photos I take; I invest a lot of attention and time into editing your photos and it's an important part of my artistic integrity. Cropping is totally fine though. Please reach out if you have any further questions about this!

  • A big part of my photography is that I want to capture people just as they are. So I only minimally retouch my photos, removing temporary "blemishes" such as pimples and subtly whitening teeth if it seems called for. I don't offer any airbrushing or other types of extensive photoshopping, but if there is something small that you would like me to pay attention to while editing, please let me know.

  • Wow, where do I start?! I love shooting film because the images themselves emanate life and character. Film is more vibrant, more textured and more imperfect—all things I deeply value in both my artwork and the way I move through this world. At the end of the day, I believe it feels and looks better. And the experience of shooting on film encourages both me and my clients to slow down and move with more intention, soaking in this moment before it’s gone.

* COVID-19 Protocol:

I am fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID, so I am no longer automatically masking for every wedding. If you'd like me to wear a mask for yours, please just let me know——I am more than happy to.

For indoor weddings/receptions I will usually choose to wear a mask out of an abundance of caution for any immunocompromised folks in my life, plus future clients as well!
